I know everyone has a doubt about the number of pre-registration whether it is real or not. It is just an expression of interest without any obligation.
Some people insisted the robot or program can register using fake emails. But in the registration form, there is recaptcha to check if you are a person or bot. That means a person should physically register one by one even though they can use a fake email address. So I guess the number is actual registration by persons although they can register multiple times. In the first week when they start this marketing campaign, they only allowed Crowd1 members to register and then open to the public. So maybe they didn't put an email verification procedure..
I agree it is wrong and misleading that EM1 used the inaccurate number as a formal announcement and they need to explain this issue to ASX.
Let's see how the management team will handle this.
