It's all very well to have these impairment losses now, but what have the Board been doing well before this. It appears that DDT take on new product development without proper research to see if there is a market for it. They can't just blame the present financial crisis. Why would you spend a motza on a robot if the mass car manufacturers eg Holden,Ford and Toyota had no intention of using the technology?
The Brisbane City Council tender looks like an interesting one. It's not said what income will be created by this, but I bet if Brisbane's Lord mayor is involved in it, then it should be a winner.
This could be a way forward for DDT. Get it out there to the mass market where there are millions of consumers and not just a handful of car manufacturers.
