Just a little note for the pros here.... Based on a tiny bit of research, and reading just about every post by Poly2006 and others (thanks!), I bought $5000 worth of SSM in the closing auction on Thursday evening at 0.285. I immediately put in a sell order for 0.305.
I was involved in a housemove all day Friday, and had no access to the market. I did however phone a workmate around lunchtime and asked him how SSM was trading. He told me it was at 0.30. But my big question was : "What did it open at?". After a few clicks and a short wait while he checked the order of trades, his answer was "0.33".
You beauty - a $730 profit. (and no net CGT to worry about this year). And the bill from the removalists came to....$720. A free move.
