Wealthy, I think the bottom line is that you are risking your (future) house in the market.
Not all that different to taking out an equity loan and investing it in a product with a high amount of risk. You could lose the house.
It's very bad practise, and I am sure wify/fiancee won't be pleased... make sure she knows and let her be party to your decision.
