I was told there was about a $600,000 difference which was deemed to be expensed. I'm not an accountant so won't comment further as it would not be based on enough knowledge or information. I think the answer lay in the two reporting standards you've quoted and never the twain shall meet. I'm still flummoxed but I'm sure I'll get better.
