One word in that WSJ article crops up again, and again, and again:
INFLAMMATION.
We all know what our MSCs excel at - tamping down inflammation by regulating and modulating the body's immune system to NOT go into overdrive. OH, come on, MSB, you got this!
Will be fascinating to see whether Rem-L patients are LESS LIKELY to become COVID long-haulers (once off ventilation), or even if Rem-L could be used in long haulers (even ones that were NOT on ventilation) to counteract the ongoing inflammation that is impacting their day-to-day lives.
