guys, i think that its really time to acknowledge that all of us made a punt and got burnt. BBIPL was always structurally removed from BBL and if one went through the disclosure docs and reviewed the structure it is obvious that in default scenario both the shareholders and BBSN holders would always get zero. I certainly knew that fact, yet invested... made some money (bought at float, sold at $17.5), then lost even more money..but at the end of the day i don't think its an issue of regulation as the structure was well enough disclosed.
