A hint, it had something to do with politics.
Further to that, what year did he join the think tank's board?

Basically , the donations started well before Rudd joined the organisation, and they represented less than 1% of the running costs.

Got the feeling that none of you lot have been on a board of anything much, but from experience, something representing less than 1%, not going to be on anyone's radar, unless specifically pointed out to them.
