I think WBT would be similar to NVX, having a high talented board and good technology.
NVX was peaked at around $830m.
WBT's board is second to none for an ASX small cap, imo.
WBT's chairman, Dadi Perlmutter, former Intel chief product officer.
Intel senior executive Dadi "David" Perlmutter, who oversaw processor design at the chip giant, will leave the company after 34 years, the company announced Wednesday.
Permutter, who was passed over as Intel's new chief executive earlier this year, will leave the company on February 20 -- the 34th anniversary of his start at the company -- to "pursue other opportunities," Intel revealed in a regulatory filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission.
Perlmutter has been closely involved with some of Intel's biggest advances and is credited for the company's success with its Centrino line of notebook processors. As general manager of the Intel Architecture Group and chief product officer of Intel, Perlmutter supervised chip design for all computing segments, including data centers, desktops, laptops, handhelds, embedded devices, and consumer electronics.
He was among a handful of candidates suggested to replace Paul Otellini, who announced last year he would retire in May. However, while Perlmutter had the technical experience and expertise to lead a semiconductor company, his lack of experience with sales or marketing was seen as a stumbling block.
CEO, Coby was Vice President Worldwide Sales at Verisity where he was part of the founding team and grew the company to over $100M in annual sales which facilitated its acquisition by Cadence Design Systems (NASDAQ:CDNS) in 2005 for $325M. He was also Vice President Worldwide Sales at Jasper, doubling sales before it was acquired by Cadence.
Dr Nissan-Cohen manages Weebit’s R&D activities. Yoav’s career covers nearly 40 years of scientific research, technology development, and executive management in the hi-tech industry. He is currently Chairman and CEO of Zullavision, a company which leverages Israeli technologies to provide innovative solutions for film and TV productions.
Yoav received his PhD researching non-volatile memories, under the supervision of Prof Dov Frohman, the inventor of the first non-volatile memory technology.
He started his illustrious career as a research scientist in GE’s R&D center in New York where he studied the use of silicon dioxide in semiconductor memory devices. He then led the spin-off of National Semiconductor’s fabrication facility in Israel, establishing Tower Semiconductor, a Nasdaq-listed, global specialty semiconductor foundry leader with a market cap of US$3.4 billion, where he served as CEO for nine years. Dr. Nissan-Cohen also played a key role in establishing a non-volatile technology startup, Saifun Semiconductor, which was subsequently sold to Spansion. After two years in the venture capital industry, he returned to his entrepreneurial origins taking up Chairman and CEO positions in Amimon which provides wireless transmissions of HD Video at zero latency. Dr. Nissan-Cohen holds a PhD in Applied Physics where his focus was SiOx memories.
WBT is ready to commercialise its technology, it is a high risk with potential high return stock, imo.
