That's because China are absolute sooks.
Covid-19 should have been kept under control in China if they hadn't tried to sweep it under the rug. They cost the world valuable time and forewarning to prepare for this and it has resulted in a lot of deaths and destruction of people's livelihoods.
Soon as Australia and others get vocal about this, China get defensive and start playing a tit for tat.
It's a shame we rely on them for the trade surplus because the less we have to do with them the better.
The only reason they are an economic powerhouse is because their country is built on the back of exploiting the poor, churning product at low cost and in high volumes.
