Scomo thought he would do right by Trump, and by most ppl posting here looking like, to call China out and make them lose face. Not so big and tough now is he? and where is America during all of this? So much for having our back when they can't even deal with all their domestic issues. Aussie pollies could take afew classes from NZ both on covid and international diplomacy. What was there to gain from Australia jumping the gun? You don't tell your biggest paying customer how to run their household, unless you want them to go spend their money elsewhere. Let's just all be honest here, I know it's hard to swallow the fact China will be the next super power of the next century, white dominance is over, and as much as the majority european population of this country don't want to accept being dictated to by Chinese, that's just how the world goes around. Whether it's wine, coal, realestate or university, without China there's be nothing. Money dries up. Investment stops. What's the point of all the resources when there's no one to buy. It's all about who has money can speak the loudest. Business will continue, eventually, but for now, China wants Australia to learn a lesson on who's really running the show here, until then it's more export restrictions.
