Their previous announcement said they would reach their target depth by mid March.

I do not believe that the target zone is right at the bottom of the targe depth of the well - they would have planned to drill well through the target zone to ensure they dont miss any of it.

Having said that the end of next week is mid March. Which means they would have reached the target zone sometime during the week.. of which we may get an announcement as soon as they hit the gas !!
