Some articles regarding the death in this year's Melbourne Cup. Very interesting and massive links to FTT/Longmile tech. Apologies for the amount of info to come...

Some snippets to take from it:
- $1.3mill per machine (can only dream of the margin on these types of machines $$$). While first reactions will be that this is too expensive etc you only need to follow the news and public reactions around horse racing to see the enormous outcry (and absolutely fair) around the deaths in the industry. As Racing Victoria has done, the $1.3 million outlay would have been a no brainer. It is not a stretch at all to think that this could become mandated/compulsory.
- This Racing Vic machine is not the Longmile Tech. Surprisingly, there is actually a lot of positives in this. It is one of only three machines in the world, meaning there are a whole lot of big/world famous courses and training facilities that are going to still need this tech. There are references in the article and video to the fact that their machine is a large and fixed structure, which actually caused issues because quarantined horses couldn't attend. The Longmile Tech is a compact mobile device = game changer!!
- “I think that every international horse that comes over needs to have more investigative work done on it before it leaves overseas and after it arrives here" “More work needs to be done and in my opinion tests such as CT scans, before leaving Europe and again before racing here, must be done"“I would CT scan all the Melbourne Cup horses as it would not be fair just to single out the internationals.”
The possibilities really are endless and enormous when you think of what the cost of the scan would be. Again, this is an industry that spares absolutely no cost. For reference, Anthony Van Dyck (the horse that unfortunately passed away) had a career earnings of $4.1 mill. There is no doubt whatsoever that owners will pay the money for the scan.

- "the racing industry should consider paying for mandatory MRI scans on all international aspirants before they come to Australia".
Mandatory AND funded.
- "RSPCA demands an investigation" "Animal rights group PETA called for an immediate investigation"
Again, just to emphasise that they won't even think twice about the $1.3 mill, or equivalent for Longmile, outlay.
And now on to what can be achieved and why they will all spend the $$$$.
Santa Anita "currently the safest racetrack in the nation” with a large portion of success due to the Longmile Tech (about half way down the article).

-------
Now don't get me wrong, there is a long way to go when talking about making this a mandate and widespread etc. FTT doesn't even own the tech yet, but when they do they need to be out pumping this. This a world wide industry that has both supporters (owners, officials) and non-believers (activists demanding change) screaming out for this! There is a huge groundswell and clear demand for this tech and FTT can cash in on what would be big $$$.
