Good evening Spud,
If they use fossil fuel as the feedstock there is always a proportion of CO2 accompanied with it on extraction as that CO2 is adding additional emissions into the atmosphere. This disqualifies the process from being classified as green. Whereas the CO2 produced by biogas is already in the system.
