Interesting, I must say that I have never looked at Sharia compliant investment. All though the ME investors have been active (and have been burnt) both in the ME and worldwide.
I think they may have to focus on inward looking problems ie Dubai debt rollover in the short term etc, before they start looking externally again.
Also they need oil to come back up from 40-60/70 I think.
All though who really knows about how much money they have or what they do with it.

Oh well re work, everyone is in the same boat really. So much so that I am thinking of getting back to Aus in August. Unfortunately the UK didnt turn out to be the career boost that I was hoping for. Oh well crap timing on my behalf.

I think Germany and possibly Australia will be the big ones for the UK in the short term. Both with a focus on blind funds and distribution integrity. ie Core & core variants.

All interesting stuff at the moment.
