Just because 5g is there, doesn't mean at all that it will be quick enough for the concerns of an immediate evaluation of sensory data, as just one example. To suggest that there is no future in edge because 5g has arrived, is dismissive and completely wrong IMO. Not to mention probably ignoring cost factor. Who really wants every little edge device connected via a 5g sim?
