re: previously a candidate for the nuclear disarma
an e.g i have followed the polls on euthanasia for about 30 years and support for euthanasia has been about 80% plus over this time. My grandfather, a war veteran in his 90's,( who solely raised 9 children after his wife died and built a very successful business chain from scratch ) got to the point where everything was failing healthwise. instead of fearfully clinging for a few more ever debilitating years --he went out as he lived his life--on his terms -and so went out bush, with his dog, as old as him and in as bad shape , and took out both of them with his old gun. he had too much self respect to go any other way-whatever the pollies legislated or not the joke is the big deal when the polies get a rare 'conscience 'vote----what's happening the rest of the time???
