Is it just me or does anyone else think that there is a fundamental upside problem with VPG and the rest of the sector based on institutional participation? PViews touched on it well with "they, don't understand the sector, so they avoid it." Also "the FUM in the sector is not supportive of their costs."

The investment houses have been forced to dump holdings they didn't necessarily want to sell. This has created a massive vacuum that just can't be back filled by the rest of us. So these stocks enter into a death spiral for which there can be no real recovery until those institutions restore their confidence in the underlying fundamentals of the sector and the risk adjusted profile of the specific stock. Which doesn't look like occurring any time soon. There are exceptions to the rule such as takeovers etc, but that's a lottery.

    Is that theory complete rubbish?
