Yes FF, it is disgusting. I have worked for the yanks and I remember one US Exec telling me that my sales rep was overpaid and they could not justify her an increase. She was earning $60k and market rate was about $75k. This is while he is tripping around the world 1st class. I got her the increase by telling him that the annual increase for her was less than his Chicago to Melbourne ticket cost, one way. He was probably on at least US$750k per year and just stuffed the business.
I hate this push for profit at all cost and to actually deny hardworking, loyal people a decent income. But it seems, the more most people get, the more they want. Zuckerberg is a case in point. How much more money does he need?
AI will lead to a lot of people losing their jobs. I just hope new jobs are created elsewhere.
