I'll be very unsurprised by a total sale of the company. Large oil companies will have to pay a lot more to acquire juniors if the oil price rises back to $US70-80, so they are likely to view the current climate as being ideal for takeovers.
As a recent purchaser of NXS shares at 36c, I would be delighted by that result and it was a factor in my decision to buy, others who have have held from when the SP was higher may have a different view.
There is a low risk of the sale process falling apart, but there is a far higher chance of a partial or total sale of NXS assets. Either of the latter scenarios mean a major jump in SP, so this was one of the easier share purchase decisons to make.

Is that because NXS leaks? Can long term holders comment on that?
If they do leak then last Friday's trading in the final 1/2 hour was very, very encouraging. There was over 2 millions shares purchased and a quick surge from 36.5c to 38c. It looked very much like a few buyers were keen to have a position before the new week.
Who knows, conspiracy theories about insiders in the know are always dodgy, but if there is a history of info getting out of NXS maybe there is something to it.
