    From memory,the example from your workplace went something like this
    You got an extra contract.So you offered your full timers extra hours at a reduced overtime rate.Otherwise you were prepared to put casuals on.
    Was that the story?
    It doesn't sound that flash to me.(sorry if i missed something)
    Also when cerhob was looking for examples of people that were disadvantaged by "workchoices" i do not remember you talking about your daughter in laws offer.
    Going cap in hand to the boss to negotiate your own rate of pay wouldn't be much fun ATM.
    To right i think collective bargaining is the way to go.
    Sad situation down here one of the major employers has gone bust and hasn't allowed for all the workers payments.
    How companies get away with using workers entitlements as working capital is beyond me.
