The essence of investing is to know something the market doesn't, and not by inside information, by doing genuine research. Is the price too low because there's better (than generally expected) times ahead or too high because risk is being ignored? I reckon prawns will be a long term absolute winner for TGR, a shorter might be betting that prices are weak due to blocked export markets. No one will ever make me sell based on a perception. That's just dumb and irrational and bound to fail.
What I do seek to find out is why the shorter or seller has come to their view. Assess whether I believe it or not and build it into my investment thesis (or not).
I'm a little concerned about prawn prices right now based on observations at the supermarket. But they aren't Tropico prawns. I'm trying to find out the price of those 2kg frozen boxes to get a better idea.
cheers
