Venting is something I explained would be for each stroke to collect more air than the surface of the membrane and “multiply” it, via the coanda effect, like one of those invisible air multiplier fans, however the only reason I mentioned this was that you said the pistons may move fast, and I summoned that the only reason Individual steps getting to their extremities faster would be of great benefit is to draw more air than their surface would otherwise allow. However I mentioned that the airflow through the chip would need to be designed to be collected and pushed efficiently and that would certainly be labeled on a diagram, and I don’t think that’s happening so I don’t think the pixels moving any faster than 1/1024 of half the wavelength would be of any benefit to wave amplitude.
