Whopping 50% of sales on friday were sold short. SAles ranged approx 243 to 252, but big spikes in vol near enough to 250, so if we see a sustained run over 250, these 5 mill may cover, resulting in violent spike, then another sell down as they go short again.
Happens regularly, just like groundhog day. Increases volumes and volatility in a big way.
Only a small handful of stocks friday that were near 50% short, such as MAP Mac airports etc.
