Yes, Abbott had a massive majority. Judging by the change in polls, Abbott blew his majority as fast as humanly possible whilst becoming the laughing stock of the country. He was an embarrassment that kept on giving. He was so bad that his own party had to sack him (has any other PM been sacked by their own party?). Crickey, he was so bad that many Liberal MP ended up voting for ANYONE but Abbott. Anyone!
