There's the old joke about the difference between ********* and a computer. A: You only have to punch information into a computer once.

The modern Labor Party is a bit like that. They keep rolling out energy policies to impoverish the nation to make no discernible or measurable difference to the level of a benign gas in the atmosphere. The electorate keep responding the same way - they reject it and vote Coalition. Yet, the prevailing wing of the ALP are so dim that they keep having a go with the same failed, rejected policy. It will keep them in Opposition for a generation.

Memo to the ALP: - nobody seriously believes this nonsense, except for some latte sippers in the inner cities, and a handful of posters on HC.
