Maybe the historical precedents are less important now. Maybe this next generation sees the hypocrisy of those who drape themselves in the flag but care less for their fellow countrymen than their own back pocket. Those who use false patriotism to win political causes that harm the nation's future. Those who side with modern fascism but ignore that our fallen often died in the fight against it.

Your second paragraph is a sad endictment on your perceptions of the importance of history. Just more drivel.
