I spent yesterday giving podium talks at two ceremonies. I have done this for a few years both 11/11 and 25/4 in my capacity and each year I'm humbled by the resilience of the diggers and the support crowds. These services are recognition of people like you and me who have much more courage than I would probably muster out of fear, self preservation and self doubt.

I'm convinced we have enough resilience to accept there are the weak who cannot digest what it takes to have strength of character and act that out by vandalism and denigration. As they mature they will have to endure the ghosts of their own shame and that will be an enduring punishment to their graves.

We don't need to waste our outrage of pests. Ours is to carry on regardless and lead by example.
