More than likely the people trying to short; leaving as the market stabilizes, less market manipulation. Some people checking out definitely caused a shortlived downward trend, but it's stabilized upwards again. I think the only thing we should be weary about is how the options trade closer to the 25th, whether it drives the SP down as people exercise and sell out. Or if the options start narrowing the gap.
