I think where you fall over is not understanding that the stock market is a leading indicator. It will price in potential future earnings as well as current.
Also the market prices in risk. The more progression towards supply and achieving demand, the less risk of commercialisation of bnnt.
hopefully this removes some of the mystery in your mind.
