A soon to be released report of the European Commission says that the bloc should aim for 60 gigawatts (GW) of offshore wind by 2030 and 300GW by 2050. Its current capacity is 12GW. On average an offshore wind turbine requires up to 232 kg of NdPr/MW, which means by 2030, the EU excluding UK would require about 13,920 tonnes of NdPr and by 2050, 69,600 tonnes of NdPr.

That is 14kt and 70kt of additional Demand, just for EU wind Turbines, add the UK and that at least doubles, then add all the EV and small appliances.
And who knows how much a Hyper-loop train would consume?! Its not long before those number will be but drops in an Ocean ?

Then think about how much of this is going to have to be ESG Compliant ? and where can it possibly come from ?
