My life and personal well being is now fully disconnected from the consequences of anything or anyone external to me. All that shapes my circumstances are my own actions and choices.
But it doesn't mean one can't show concern for the big problems going on elsewhere in the world. A greater fight against liberalism and a greater global adoption of conservative values will only do good for the world as a whole.
