    @kickst@rter; recent reports are describing carparks being converted to makeshift morgues and hospitals being so overrun they're being forced to choose who to treat and who to deny medical support to.

    In short, the USA health system is at a tipping point and by corollary, so too the health of the entire USA as daily infections head towards 200,000 cases, more than 10 million already infected and the death rate from COVID19 starts to follow that trend.

    Pretending that COVID19 will just go away and that the death of 250,000 people thus far doesn't matter is a very sad values statement and totally at odds with how the US responded when ~3,000 people died from the 911 attacks.
