I can definitely understand that there are flags around Crowd1 that people are raising and it does bring about some grey areas which people seem to be getting a bit to personal on but focusing on the Miggster product and how it is tipped to be sold vs more conventional google store sales choice:

Scenario 1 (Google Store app purchase via recommendation of friend who uses the application):
- App developer makes revenue
- Google Store takes a commission of transaction
- Consumer out of pocket

Scenario 2 (Miggster sale via recommendation of existing Miggster member) :
- App developer makes revenue
- linked Miggster affiliate takes a commission of transaction
- Consumer out of pocket

I would have to agree that the games offered are pretty standard but if people want to buy it then that's their choice (would like to see these AAA games come to fruition). Quite a lot of people still do buy DVD's for some reason.
