Last time there were a bunch of options expiring, which was 30Jun07 @20c, CTP (JH) was putting out daily announcements, pushing the SP up to get to 20c so that the options had some value. IIRC there were daily announcements for about 3 weeks, with the price going from ~15c to 20c in the last couple of days before the options expired.
Hopefully it won't be necessary for these options, but I would expect the same treatment for them. Of course, they were released before the "global economic crisis", so who knows where they will end up in 475 days time.
There was a point, not that long ago, where those options were worth what the SP is now. I wish I'd sold mine then. Live and Learn.
