Japan's Pan Pacific Copper, a joint venture between Mitsui Mining and Nippon
Mining, Monday lowered its copper price for June domestic delivery to Yen
340,000 ($3,082)/mt, a reduction of Yen 10,000/mt. The company last changed
its copper price on Jun 9 when it was cut by Yen 10,000/mt to Yen 350,000/mt.
"The price decrease is due to a fall on the London Metal Exchange," a company
official said. Japanese base metal producers change their domestic list prices
regularly, based on the supply/demand balance in the market, price movements
on the London Metal Exchange, and changes in the yen-US dollar exchange rate.
