USA are predicting a wave of over 2000 deaths per day ICU are reportedly overrun with up to 90% capacity with the virus raging out of control. The lower death rate due to improvements in treatment is contingent on ICU capacities. On the current numbers covid is more deadly than all cancer deaths combined. It is essentially a new cancer. The repeated news stories of ‘spit’ tests, rapid tests, antibody tests have done nothing to help the USA to date and seem to be more hype than actual logistically available and proven services to help them manage this virus
Contrast Australia where we have testing tents /locations within most suburbs, pretty much zero wait times for the testing, text msg with results usually within 11 hours
and GSS have repeatedly informed the market that they have been sure to meet in full demand for exisiting clients. Eg if they receive an order they are supplying it in full and at quality necessary to contain the outbreak.
