Here is my view
We saw a number of amendments to the end points to the trial on the 4th November. These included adding in 6mth and 12mth end points relating to "Pulmonary Symptoms including the presence of emphysema, COPD, asthma, Pulmonary fibrosis, other pulmonary disease, and the need for respiratory support by randomization"
It may well be that they intend to end this trial at 60% and provide emergency access approval. Then restructure this trial to continue further with a change in Sponsor (note MSB is not the sponsor of the current trial, but a collaborator. Dr Perrin mentions in his trial MSB are Sponsors).
The changes made Nov 4th may be in preparation for this adjustment.
They are looking to measure the impacts on Long Covid and you would not want to start again, but you would want to build on what trail data you have already.
Anyway, just my thoughts, although it is all speculation until we get some official info. DYOR
