I'm not pessimistic either, just being realistic.

IMO it would be reckless for management to send some sort of signal to the market by buying loads of shares. Apart from the financiers themselves there are many things outside the companies control, ie world events etc, which could still effect the companies ability to raise the required amount of debt and equity.

Finance will require several parties all agreeing to fund the project and KPMG have been brought in to tie it all together and come up with the best deal. All good but I don't see that as a guarantee of success.

The adjustments and tweaking have IMO been to ensure the project is at it's optimum when D day for finance arrives but I still don't see that as a 100% guarantee of finance either.
And IMO the market sees this which is why the SP is where it is.

The guarantee for me, and I suspect the market, will be when we see the binding agreements for finance, debt and equity, or the equivalent thereof.
