Is the fundamentals of TLS really that bad? I have read predictions of the sp @ $1.50. The above fundamentals seem good especially if this recession gets worse as a lot of analyst predicts. With regards to the NBN from what I heard due to the lower AU$ there would be a cost blow out of 2 billion $. If the government is not going to increase the subsidy it would be a losing proposition to build the NBN. Judging by how the government is already in deficit would they add to the subsidy? seems unlikely. With regards to the NBN builders, only TLS is a logical choice because of its huge cashflows and expertise, can any other perspective bidder afford to roll out the NBN especially in such a tight credit market. And even without the NBN, TLS is rolling out internet upgrade of 9-10x the NBN speed - by that time who in their right mind would pay for 12mbps when there is 100mbps available? From that standpoint I cannot really see where the weakness in SP is coming from except from funds who felt that due to the long and considerable slide in the ASX, we are due for a bear market rebound so they would position their portfolio to growth stocks but when we get back to fundamentals and the run is over, which stocks do you think funds would go back to TLS,CSL, WOW and other fundamental stocks whose Sp's are suffering now, IMHO.
