The West should be very scared of a strong China because if such a China was to borrow a leaf from the conduct by the West when they were strong, then they’d be in mortal danger. We have colonised and exported our freedoms by force to weaker nations when we were strong and I suspect we are afraid of passing that mantle to China because they might become what we have been for the past few centuries.
