The advantage of having so much high grade gold concentrated within a controlled area (within the quartz) at and within 75m of the surface is that you can quickly and cheaply build an underground mine to extract it all. If there is lower grade gold surrounding the quartz, which would need to be removed as part of the underground mine, that would be extra gold sales with minimal added cost.

You can see the yellow mined stopes that extracted the 41,000 Oz of gold (underground mine) in the McVicar Lode, they are only 30-50metres tall and 500metres in length. Only 48,000 tonnes of rock generated what would today equate to $A102million in gold sales.

An area as small as this could be mined out within 2-3months, unlike a large open pit mine with 30-70metres of worthless overburden, which would need 3-4 months of removing the overburden.

The best batches of gold assays will be interesting, especially if they discover new gold shoots and lodes missed by the old timers or if high grade visible gold is seen in the drill cores.
