Seamisty, that is why I am MAD. I have been a lurker since the beginning but haven't posted because I don't really understand what is going on so don't feel I can contribute usefully. It makes me angry to be treated as if I was a greedy investor when all I did was follow the advice of my usually conservative financial adviser, who was following the advice of Lonsec and S&P.

The only upside for us is that when MFS went pearshaped we put all the rest of our savings into cash (not enough to fund many years of retirement now though).
