From the news today, looks like the uk will allow retail shops (shopping malls) to reopen on December 3, regardless of what tier the region is in. It’s the restaurants and pubs that may remain closed for dining-in if the region is in the top tier and only allow takeaway. So that’s a bonus, as I had assumed xmas was going to be a write off for the malls in EML’s biggest mall countries (USA, UK, Germany, Poland). It may be that all those regions the malls are now open in December. No doubt the fact that malls were closed in November in UK and Poland would impact, but as people only buy 1 gift card during the Xmas season, I guess it doesn’t really matter if they buy it in December and not November.
