This helps explain EOS’ recent acquisition spree starting with EM Solutions in 2019. This company provides ground technology that delivers stabilised on-the-move satellite tracking terminals. The key is that these terminals are compatible across multiple satellite constellations from different clients.
On the space side, EOS’ acquisition of Audacy Corporation provides a communications spectrum licence used by existing clients’ LEO satellite networks. The acquisition of hybrid technology provider Collinear Inc.
will enable EOS to migrate these clients (and future customers) from microwave technology to optical (or hybrid capabilities) in the future.
