shorting will only work if they can convince longs to throw the towel in, else they are just feeding each other.
And when you run out of those longs exits, suddenly, a short gets burned.
So, what long, will throw it away, given the support we have seen from 33, to 35, as a base? Longs would argue, there is more upside to simply hold.
Run out of such coconuts, agree mac, and they will cover, and return roc to a level, where you might have some more longs prepared to exit.
But given that roc is comming of historic lows, and oil is trengthening, i agree with your target, and 12m, will make those shaken from the tree walk with sore heads.
brokers have 1.50 target, 12m
I think your of 1.00 more likely, but, heck, thats a 2.5x,
150% aint half bad.
What for mine stands out now, is that roc are delivering on their revised strategy to reduce costs, and the bad wind sentiment of their over indulgent drilling spree, is finally blowing the other way.
cheers.
