re: berge helene Single or double hulled - whats the difference? If any loaded ship rams into an anchored tanker in an area known to mariners to have an illuminated fpso it would be like running into an island - the likelihood is so remote and a double hull is not going to withstand such an impact.
This argument is largely academic.
