China was a saviour to the global wine industry not just Australia. To this day every market is still saturated with wine and Australia cannot compete on the world market due to our manufacturing costs.
as a ceo of a wine company I can tell you twe will be fine And will reallocate wines to other markets albeit for less margin as China pays a premium for Australian wine and our clean image.
there will literally be a Collapse of hundreds of wine businesses in South Australia alone due to the tariffs as no wine will be shipped To China. My exposure to China is small but the customers I have will get supply from chille.
