(Technicals, charting etc. has failed this share miserably while it was heading downwards, what makes the technicals any more reliable on the way up? Please explain.)

In anwser to your first Q TA did not fail this Stock...
Yours might have done so...No Offence Intended..
Most Chartist's would have seen the early warnings lower low's lower highs well before the big fall..
Plus the H&S so don't blame us it was your bad TA.imo

As for the 2nd Part of your Q1.
It is easyer to Chart a Bull Stock in a Bull Market because everyone making rationale positive decisions..
Where in a Bear Market a Bull Stock is subject to illrationale decisions and a fear market.. eg margain calls ect.
But note in a Bull Market you have Volume...and that is what we are seeing comming back into the market now...its the bottom imo..
