Boiler, there is nothing wrong with the way Buffy goes about investing. His squillions of dollars reflect that. But it depends how much capital you have to start with and most importantly how much time youve got to watch your stocks.

If you've got the time to do it, the way I see it is why not look for a sector that is taking off now instead of waiting for what could be 10 years for your capital to grow? Thats why I pick the hot sector and the hot stocks of that sector, which right now is gold. If gold tanks (falls out of its pattern) I pull my stocks out and wait for the hot area of the market or wait for the DOW to clearly bottom out. IMO anyone whos buying stocks that are vulnerable to the DOW atm are bottom picking and not really getting "good value". Those stocks could fall another 10 20% yet. This is just the way I see things and there really is no right or wrong way to invest. As I say, Buffy has proven his system works. But does his one size fits all approach work for everybody?
